Seller to be able to Edit Service (as it was before)

In the 1.1 version there was an update which blocked sellers from editing the service. This means that once you submit a service on the website you are not able to:

  • Add more images
  • Change your current images
  • Correct spelling mistakes
  • Add content to the service
  • Remove content to the service

Reason behind this is because a seller can change the description of the service while an order is in process.

I think there can be a fix to this as an edit feature is not something anyone would want to take off, especially from user content driven website. You can’t take in consideration only the fact that a service will be edited in bad faith. There are various more times were a service is edited in good faith.

It’s like banning everyone from driving a car because there might be car accidents and you force them to take public transport instead.

My Suggested Fix:

On order of a service you send a copy of the service description including Title, Price, Days to deliver via e-mail to both buyer and seller.

Secondly, and this is very important. You should include another field which states the number of revisions / changes the provider is willing to provide with the service. This too should be included in the e-mail copy.

This way the buyer and the seller (including admin maybe) will have a copy of how the service was described on time of purchase.

You gave us some very valuable advice on developing this product.

The “revisions/changes” functionality is in the progress of researching & simulating. It’s best if you can help us add more speed. We had a chance to analyse your flow diagram (which was in another topic of version 1.0).

The only reason to stop editing a mJob in 1.1 is protecting the admin as well as buyers at the minimum level. It’s because we’re busy with this research phase, we need to protect the users and reduce the chances of getting cancer.

Of course the editing function can be switched back if needed but we need to know more opinions in order to make some good synchronizations in the future versions.

I understand your logic, thinking behind this but surely we should have the right to make the decision for ourselves rather than you removing the feature without consulting or telling us about the removal of the feature.

Would be great to have the option to enable or disable it.

It should be in 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 due to the characteristics of the current development process (we’re on 1.1.1 now).
